HoRNet today released HoRNet Tape, an analog tape simulation plugin. Tape was the recording medium of choice before digital took its place in the early 1990s and its unique quality helped define the sound of music in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. HoRNet Tape applies the saturation of physical tape to your tracks and also adds the specific frequency response of four different popular tape machines, each at two different speeds, 15 or 30 inch per second (IPS). The plugin features Auto Gain technology to help target your (simulated) recording level more easily, along with output compensation so you can judge the effect without being fooled by loudness changes.
HoRNet Tape is available now for €19.99 (around $23). It requires macOS 10.6 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host.
