I just loaded Logic 9 on my new computer... And it's running in 64 bit mode. I noticed it put some plugins in a 32 bit folder which can still be loaded. What't the implication of loading 32 bit plugins, anyway? Will they run, should I just uninstall and or wait until I get the 64 bit version? Just c...

I'm wondering if Cubase 7 would be a better choice but I'm not really sure how it compares with DP on the cpu efficiency scale. I used to be assured that Logic was the most efficient solution on the Mac side, but I'm still on 10.6.8 and I need a new Mac for my work... so I'm going to have to upgrade...
Hey, Thanks for the reply... I guess my old way was too simple and efficient! Ha... seems to happen to me a lot these days. It's really annoying because while I'm practicing, I could accumulate like a 100 takes which I certainly don't want. I wish you could just turn it off. Hey there's an idea. It'...
I recently upgraded to Logic 9. and discovered that my previously cool way of creating music in Logic has become considerably less awesome. Or at least requires more work. I had "capture last take" set up with a cmnd. key and I could play away until I got something I liked and hit the key and voila....
Just went for the L9 upgrade from the app store... Yayy! Downloaded the main stuff. Now the additional content... does it give you the option to pick and choose when you DL that? I don't want all the loop crap, and would like some of the other stuff. Thanks folks!
You mean DP8 won't let you use them? Or they disappeared... I'm curious if anyone on the PC side takes the leap. No demo sure seems to make this a difficult decision. For changers that is. I still haven't purchased Logic 9 waiting to see if they would say something about 10?
Ahhh... Sounds like the app store version is just the App and instruments probably. Which is what I want. I'd like to have some of the stuff, but not the whole thing. Maybe I'll DL and move it to an external then review.
I was thinking about buying the L9 new version from App store... Is it possible to load without all the Apple Loops and crap? I'm on Snow Leopard, and would really like to load the app as small as possible. Hmmm?
