Re: Logic 10.2.0 released!

Nice. Logic is actually cheaper than Alchemy alone was!

The only CamelAudio plug-in I had/used was CamelPhat which was/is fantastic.

I'd love to see that in 10.3!

Re: 10.0.7 Can't download additional content. Bug?

To answer my own question, I found a fix on apple's forums. Restart in safe mode (hold down shift key whilst booting) and then restart again normally and download away. Unfortunately, the feature that was definitely in the original release notes of being able to download content to an alternative dr...

10.0.7 Can't download additional content. Bug?

So, Logic updated itself to 10.0.7 and one of the new features being touted is the ability to install additional content to another drive. Great, I'd not installed loads of the content as my startup SSD is small, but if I try and install the content I get this message: Logic Pro X is not connected t...

Re: iPad composing: gimmick or not?

How is the process going from Garageband to Logic? You just transfer the song from GarageBand for iPad to your mac through iTunes and open it directly in Logic. Pretty easy really! You can also transfer any bounced loops from iMS20, iElectribe, etc as .WAV files in the same way. Pristine audio qual...

Re: iPad composing: gimmick or not?

IMS20 and iElectribe are a lot of fun, sound amazing and you can copy the audio and past into GarageBand for further arranging. It's a very different process to composing on the mac, but it can be a refreshing change. I'd rcommend iMS 20 very, very highly. You get 6 'drum' tracks plus one synth trac...

Re: TNR-i - Yamaha TENORI-ON for iOS!

UK Store link: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/tnr-i/id406297563?mt=8 £11.99 For some reason, it is listed separately on the UK and US iTunes stores. Am tempted, but am not sure about the interface. I don't understand why they have to copy the hardware interface when you have a full touch screen to p...

TNR-i - Yamaha TENORI-ON for iOS!

Yamaha have released TNR-i for iOS, pretty much a full blown TENORI-ON. http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/entertainment/tenori-on/tnr-i/?mode=model iTunes link: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/tnr-i/id406297563?mt=8 iOS is starting to be a fun platform for music apps. iMS20 is just...

Re: ReBirth out for iPhone!

It has such a horrible UI that it's absolutely no fun whatsoever.

It needs a complete rethink.

Re: Desperately seeking UK host

I've used UK2 for many years for domains and to host my companies' website and they seem to be OK. THey have email only packages too. Not sure if it's the sort of thing you want, but here's their website:

Re: best used macbook pro

Another good one to look for is the first unibody 17", the 2.66GHz Core2duo. It's the same spec as the later model apart from processor and Hard drive and comes with the unibody aluminium body and much longer battery life. It also has the express card slot. The 17" was the first to go unibody, and i...

Re: ReBirth out for iPhone!

I figured I could waste £4 so gave it a shot. This is a such an opportunity wasted. It's an amazing achievement to get ReBirth into the iPhone, but the interface is appalling. They've just put the full sized Mac/PC screen on the iPhone so you have to pan and zoom to get anything done. They've ignore...

Re: Great Plug-in for Build Ups(sweeps)!?

If you have Logic, there are a load of transition FX patches for the EXS24. Under Cinematic FX I think. Easy to miss but some are pretty good and obviously being samples you can mangle away at them to make them into what you need...
