perhaps in the future, software will be compiled for each user separately. it would be a custom fit, optimized to outperform "generic" code. copy protection would not be necessary.

perhaps you need to force logic to to do a complete au rescan. i know this could take a while but it is what a little bird told me could work [did work in the case of znoise a few weeks ago].

hmmm - cerberus- is this in Pro or Express? Also- you're talking about internal midi routing right? Have you ever been able to do the same from another program across the IAC bus? i have logic 6 pro.. express did not exist at that time, so i don't know what features it doesn't have. if you have alr...

Re: Logic E7 & Reaktor - posible to route and record mid

The big problem here is that Logic can't see MIDI coming out of plug-ins. i think it can: any environment object that passes midi can pass it to another object. these kinds of connections can be made in environment windows with it's virtual patch cables. if you check the box to "show icon" in the p...

I feel there is a great deal more than the noise floor at stake. A digital scale peak of -30dB FS will render your effective bit depth resolution down to about 18-16bits. Over time, I have come to push the level within digital quite hard in an attempt to squeeze every little bit out of the system. ...

I find its completely dependent on the session content and direction. i've learned a lot about this lately... both mixing styles are equally popular at this moment. it is not enough to choose a signal path; adapting your mix technique is very important, if not essential: e.g. if you choose to use f...

My post here is based on the comments of other users in other audio forums. thank you for being honest. in my view these are people who prefer to rent their software because having an up to date daw is more important to them than developing a stable working system over time. for the rest of the use...

I came here specifically to hunt for some kind of explanation to exactly this problem with my 2496 - i.e. intermittent distortion. What happens with me seems to be "time" based in the sense that when playing back a 3 minute long track the first minute will be fine, then it gets progressively worse ...

The problem with Waves is that you don't have to be updating at all. It could be a simple matter of a hard drive replacement or the need to re-install the OS and you're finished. They will not renew your lease unless you pay up. The software is deactivated and becomes useless after paying dearly fo...
