Just a quick question about disabling font smoothing. I have Tinker Tool for OSX and have heard turning disabling font smoothing will increase system performance but also heard it causes negative affects for Photoshop and Illustrater and such. So do you think it is worth it to disable font smoothing?

Thank you both Mplayer works great! Also tried WMP before that with failed results. I recommend Mplayer for anyone else struggling with AVI video format.

Trying to play some AVI movies in Quicktime and Quicktime says it needs some plug or some shit that it doesn't have. Anyone got any suggestion on where I can get this plug or possibly a probram that will convert AVI to Quicktime format? I am using QT 6.4.
