alyerpal: as a workaround you can use several "Message Converter" tools to move the CC messages you want to a different MIDI channel. Afterwards use "Message Filter" to block everything except notes on the original channel and use "Channel Router" to merge the CC messages back to the original channe...

Re: MidiPipe on Tiger?

No, I don't have Tiger yet. But I would expect no problems. The transition from 10.2 to 10.3 went smooth.
Anybody else having experiences with MidiPipe on Tiger?

Matt,

the timestamps I talked about only exist in CoreMIDI. You won't find them in the MIDI stream and therefore can't filter them out.

Matt,

you've found a bug in "AppleScript Trigger". The messages returned by a script get a wrong timestamp. It will be fixed in the next release.

About the GUI request. In the next release the detachable "AppleScript Trigger" window will be resizable.

Matt, the following MIPI contains a script that does what you need. For the script to work you need at least Mac OS X 10.3 -- otherwise the properties get lost with every new message and the script does nothing. http://homepage.mac.com/nicowald/data/Scripts/DoubleNoteFilter.mipi.zip Please note that...

broc: from the "known problems" section of the readme file: "hijack" option in "Midi In" tool sticks in case you force quit MidiPipe (or if it should crash) while you have a port "hijacked"; the next time you start MidiPipe it won't see the "hijacked" port either, so to get the missing port back do ...

broc: it depends on the "other application" but I wouldn't recommend it; if and only if the "other application" doesn't recognize a change in the MIDI environment by itself you can try the following: start the "other app" and make it listen to IAC; then hijack the IAC port in a active (located in a ...

hoffman2k: good to hear that your problem is solved with Bidule; I'm not sure what you meant by "I want to do about 200 conversions if possible."; in general: "Message Converter" converts all matching input messages; you can limit it to a specific channel though; that in combination with the "Keyboa...

hoffman2k: when converting Note On to CC Message Converter will use the 3rd Byte (velocity) by default -- by selecting the "exchange data bytes" option it will use the 2nd Byte (key value) instead; from what you are saying it seems that your keyboard is sending all note on messages with a velocity o...

Since nobody else wants to answer, I think its my turn. Turner: "First": as pointed out before, Garageband always listens to all MIDI sources is sees; so when you use the MidiPipe DLS Synth while GarageBand is running, it will get the MIDI messages too an play them (yes, two instances); "Next": the ...

Need tester for new port "hijacking" functionality. This allows users of apps like Garageband and Logic Express (that listen to all available ports) to fully use MidiPipe, by hiding selected input ports. Oink or Dinga or anybody else with Garageband and some MIDI gear available for a test? Please se...
