Not looking good for any Intel updates to those ....
Isn't CM-505 UB now?

Not free but cheap: http://www.manyetas.com/ritmo.html I'm pretty sure that Ritmo is no longer maintained, which is too bad, since it's a nice little multi-out sample player. The current version, from 2003 (!), doesn't even pass auval in Logic 7.0. When I asked Chris Reed about this a couple of yea...

I go to plasmatvbackups.com for mine, but they don't always work. Specifically, one TV started melting and another kept changing channels like it was possessed.

Your ear was not designed to take direct sound pressure that the in-ear earphones can deliver. You will hurt your ears if you are not *extremely* careful about how you use them. Marc, is there a good way to know what levels are safe? I have a pair of in-ear sound-isolating phones, and I was pretty ...

dude, just download openoffice (or whatever the nicer Mac fork of it is called -- NeoOffice, maybe?), open your file, and save as xls. XML is more of a "meta-format" than a "format" -- whether or not Excel can do anything useful with your file depends on the DTD. And I'd bet that...

Wow thats pretty brazen! Stick it to him Urs. (not the original poster) but the website selling your stuff. He must pay. I'd say that the original poster is hardly free of culpability. He gave money to a web site called "audio backups" that offers a wide range of software for 1-5% of its ...

Linplug has the CM-505, which is magware on the Computer Music DVD. It's basically the synthesis section of RMIV (i.e. no sampling).

Yeah, that would be my first suggestion. Watch them in order (Blue, White, Red).

When it was first released, it was the only game in town. The sound engine is pretty bare-bones, so I'll mostly talk about the sequencer. I bought a copy when I bought my first Mac (late 2002-ish), and it hasn't changed all that much since. It's an easy interface and there is a small but vocal commu...

try AU Lab (it's included for free with the developer tools). You can also try Rax from plasq.com, which is not free but is a very nice program.

Try the matrix or score editors on a MIDI region. (command-6 or command-3, I believe.)

jb, did you edit the actual file, or just the resource info?

Google for the "boodler" application -- it's a python program that can generate interesting soundscapes. It comes with some samples that are not royalty-free, but you could plug in your own.
