FC & Text Overlays - format of text clip

Post by CazWax » 30 Sep 2009, 16:25

Hi folks,

I've been dorking around with text overlays - bottom thirds and what not, and I've noticed that sometimes I need to render and other times FCP7 is quite happy to display in RT w/out rendering.

This lead me to wonder what the format of a generated hunk of text actually is when it's dragged into the timeline.

Probably some sort of internal still image format. Maybe some derivative of the LiveType Decompressor or even Animation codec.
