What (free) App converts Midi Type 1 into Midi Type 0

Post by ctrlzjones » 05 Aug 2012, 04:49

I find it hard to believe that there is nothing out there to convert theses two formats ...
so basic.

of course I could do 1 by 1, joining regions and exporting in Logic or another DAW, but there should be something that offers a way to batch those things. I have hunderts of files to convert ...

anybody?

What happens when you drag and drop to the Logics arrange page?

Are you sure that's what you want to do?

Type 0 has all data contained in one midi track.
Import into Logic, split by channel.

Type 1 retains each midi track, drag and drop on Logic's timeline.

the question was going for an app that does this ... not how to do it manually ...

I am having the same question: what free app traduces Midi Type1 to Midi Type 2 and vice versa?

there has to be something ...

I am no comfy with the idea that I will have to drag & droip 2347598 midi files in and out of Logic ...
