Can't vote in the official 64-bit software topic and poll
It won't let me submit my vote for some reason.
Have fun,

Matt- Your permissions test out ok. What happens exactly? Anyone else having trouble with the poll?

Re: Can't vote in the official 64-bit software topic and poll
I just logged into my "normal" test account and voted, then re-voted. Couldn't reproduce the error.
I'll try to poke around and see if there's something different with your specific account. I took a quick look earlier, but the forum's permissions tester said you should be able to vote in any poll, in any section.
In the mean time, I've split these posts off into the Site Matters forum to maintain focus on each subject. Not swatting it aside, though. Please keep trying and let me know if anything changes. For example, can you vote in the other polls (which OS X version, PPC or Intel)?

Are you getting the same exact error?
I added a poll to the top of this topic. Please try to vote and let me know what happens!

Same error: The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.
I also tied voting in this poll with Chrome, and Firefox all resulting in the same exact error:

Re: Can't vote in the official 64-bit software topic and poll
Weird! Yet there are some votes getting through. I'm still looking for a cause. At least now we have two users to compare.
Update: Even though general permissions and group permissions were set to allow voting, a lower-level user setting defaulted to no. The other settings are supposed to override that, according to the permissions viewer, but it's all I can find so far. I've set both of your accounts to allow voting at all 3 levels (phpBB permissions are irritating, to say the least). Could you guys try to vote on all the Mac OS forum polls again?

Re: Can't vote in the official 64-bit software topic and poll
It looks like you're both using the BigBlueLounge theme. This error is a security feature which tries to prevent a form sitting for too long before someone submits it (like if someone forgot about it at an Internet Cafe). It does so by inserting a security variable onto the page. I'm thinking now maybe the old BBL theme doesn't have this variable. Would you guys mind switching back for a second? If that works, we'll know the cause and I'll dig in to fix the BBL theme going forward.
