ebay seller pricing

Post by ndstephens » 13 Jan 2005, 00:19

i just found this out and thought i'd let others know. for those of you who use ebay to sell stuff, their pricing is almost doubling. that is, the percentage of the final selling price that they keep is doubling. their stock is still rising and the company is doing great, but they're gonna start charging more.....oh well. i recommend trying to use this site, other forums, or craigslist.com first.

Ebay now owns a part of craigslist now just so you know. Here is an article discussing the joint venture: http://news.com.com/eBay+buys+into+Crai ... tml?tag=nl
Have fun,

holy crap. that's scary. i'd HATE to ever see Craigslist lose it's luster. it's one of my top 5 most useful websites (next to osxaudio).

EDIT: Feb 18

range: $25.01 - $1,000

now: 5.25% of the initial $25, plus 2.75% of the remaining closing value balance.

Feb 18: 8% of the initial $25, plus 5% of the remaining closing value balance.
