Want a weird mp3 to sample?

Post by jjcdrummer » 16 Jan 2005, 17:08

I posted about this in a different forum here, trying to figure out why it happened, but here's a bizarre mp3 from when my audio interface freaked out tonight. I thought maybe people would want to mine the file for some sonic nonsense. Anyway, here it is. Use it if you like, however you like.

Nice! in OS 9 with Digital Performer, when I had a hard crash sometimes I would end up with a few files like this, it's funny how many times I've used pieces from those crashes as FX noises.

Some really nice parts in that sample. I'll find a use for them. Thanks! 8)

Hmm, that's a co-incidence, I'v just been spending a couple of hours making exactly the same sort of sounds with Logic's Tape delay plugin. (set it to freeze then slowly drag the 'Groove' slider from right to left)

Well, even if I don't find out what causes something like this to happen spontaneously, at least I can spread a little joy. :)
