iTunes Music Store now in OZ

Post by oink » 24 Oct 2005, 18:46

Yes, at last, we have ITMS in OZ, but Sony BMG is still refusing to play, so that catalog is 'unavailable'.

A rather stingy $1.69 a song which is $1.26 US - but that would be in line with hard copy pricing - a new release album would be somewhere between $25 and $30 AU
Logic, powercores, metric halo, midi stuff.

Actually, most albums (that are not 'song only') seem to be priced at $AU16.99

Maybe the itunes censors deemed it inappropriate to have a song about a man with an "extra leg!"

Some confusion here - I was trying to compare high street shop bought price with US shop bought price, we pay through the proverbial there too.

BTW You'd definitely be able to buy Rolf at the UK iTunes store - it's the Brits fault that he's still famous!

I'd pay money for his version of Stairway To Heaven, with accompanying video...

But 128kbit mp3. Yuck. Even if we do get The Store in NZ, I'll pass at that quality.
