Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien wrote:I don't know what is marijuana. Perhaps I will try it when it will no longer be criminal. I will have my money for my fine and a joint in the other hand," he said in an interview with the Winnipeg Free Press.
What a great scam! Become Prime Minister and de-criminalize whatever you want to do when you retire.

Yeah pretty much. There are a shitload of stoners here in BC canada. We have world renowned quality bud, and a huge underground industry to boot. (not what our government friends down south like to here though) 8)

I think Canada's move is right....

Police should catch real criminals; not some guy smoking a joint...

Yes, we are all stoners. We do nothing but smoke weed and shag girls that look like Pamela Anderson all day. We do this in our Igloos and we eat nothing but backbacon and drink nothing but Molson's eh? :D :D :D

Another interesting Canada bit. A month ago I went to see a performance of Gershwin in the Vermont town of Derby Line, right on the Canadian border. It was in an old opera house situated such that the audience was in the US and the pianist was in Quebec! Outside, there was no clear border, just a couple of checkpoints a few blocks apart. It all seemed like one town.

Sounds like the place to be. Is it difficult to become Canadian...?

Not as difficult as it is to become American.

Geez, every time I cross the border, I get the stupid American border guard asking me, "Where do you work?", "What postion?", "Are you here to look for a job?"

Next time I cross the border and get asked this, I'll just say, "Listen, you don't have to worry about people coming in to take American jobs. You Americans are already shipping them out to India."

:D :D :D
