Reason2.5

Post by mixerofsound » 06 Nov 2003, 18:12

Alright y'all, i'm new to this site but i thought i would ask you guys a question. Any idea why when I install reason2.5 it recognizes my orkester cd (only if i do a custom install) and wont recognize my sound bank cd. but when i open up the CD's normally I can copy the refill files without a problem to the Reason Program Folder. Help!

I guess I'd contact Propellorheads and see about getting a new disc set. Did you get the upgrade or the full version? Maybe that's the problem.

Buy it, and I'm sure you'll find there's no problem with your Mac.

Yeah before this thread turns into a rampant piracy debate, I'd say you should look somewhere else.

Take it from all of us, Reason is a great, stable program. And not too expensive. Buy it and see.

it works flawlessly and if U use their stuff the propheads deserve your money. they have great support as well..... IF, and only if, U are a registered user.

Beside every dumb ass I know with a kracked version has it fail after a month or two. They seem to have come up with the perfect anti piracy method; make the hackers think they've succeeded, (none would bother testing for a month), and get the people who should buy the software to pony up.

I just want to point out that I have copied versions of all my software, even that which I paid for (most of it, but i'm not getting into that now. My opinion on piracy falls a bit left of center for this site.)

I use my original software discs exactly once: to copy them. Software costs way too much for me to risk damaging those discs, they're way too difficult to replace, especially on short notice. And considering programs like Reason, Absynth and Vokator, who ask you for your original discs once in a while, I can't risk leaving my discs in the studio. I have a cd book in my laptop bag with burns of all my software in it, in case I need it.

Now that's copying that I have no problem with- you paid for it, you should be able to create an archive copy for personal use- just like you can with music.

one of those HOT issues. like abortion.
i agree that the copy protection stuff bites. dongles, responses, whatever. when i buy a piece of software i wanna be able to use it without hassle and all of this anti-paracy stuff PRESUMES that i am going to use the software illegally and i resent that. i do NOT use pirated software nor do i allow others to pirate my hard drive and i resent the fact that software companies PRESUME that is what i'm gonna do.
