10.0.7 Can't download additional content. Bug?

Post by Meester Smeeth » 19 May 2014, 05:44

So, Logic updated itself to 10.0.7 and one of the new features being touted is the ability to install additional content to another drive. Great, I'd not installed loads of the content as my startup SSD is small, but if I try and install the content I get this message:

Logic Pro X is not connected to the Internet. Please check your Internet connection and try again

My Mac is definitely connected to the internet, otherwise this wouldn't post! ;-)

Any ideas?

To answer my own question, I found a fix on apple's forums. Restart in safe mode (hold down shift key whilst booting) and then restart again normally and download away.

Unfortunately, the feature that was definitely in the original release notes of being able to download content to an alternative drive seems to have vanished. The release notes have been changed to remove that feature too.

Bugger.
