I wouldn't pay $129 for it. After trying to use it, not sure I'd pay $10 for it.

I will, however, give it more time.

Has anyone had a chance to compare it to NI Guitar Rig or IK Multimedia Amplitude?

I wish Ableton would spend more time improving the functionality of the application and less time on soundware, instruments and effects. I suspect though that they make far more money from the optional extras than from the application.
Logic Pro 9, Live 8.

It's not really like NI Guitar Rig or Amplitube. It's really just there as an add on, not so much for guitar as it is to run other things, drums, vocals, synths through a guitar amplike chain to dirty them up. The other two blow this away as far as sound and authenticity.
