Hi, I'm currently using my iphone for recording lectures, both video and audio, but would like to be able to set up multiple audio inputs that could be recorded on different audio tracks on the same 'master' video recording, f.ex. when lecturer moves around and beside or behind my cardioid mic.
I could of course think about more professional solutions such as the rode wireless go or the rodelink performer kit (or any similar solution such as the Picomic, Blink 500, Comica Boom XD, Sennheiser XSW, Sokani Tiny, Uwmic9) but finally I'm wondering whether taking a second iphone SE 2020 (or even a 2016 one for that purpose) with any external mic i can choose (and not the limited possibilities of these solutions) might actually not turn out being a more flexible solution.
I stumbled upon the app Apogee MetaRecorder which allows just that (pairing up to 4 iphones for audio recording) but they support a very limited mic set.
So would there be another app out there that does the same, but in a more flexible way, or any other hardware related solution ?
I do intend to keep the iphone SE 2020 for the video recording part though...
pair multiple iOS devices for audio capture (with external mic)?
