are there ever any upgrades for g4 powerbooks??? RAM or Processor? I got a 1GHZ powerbook (15inch) is there any upgrades for this powerbook? I wish I could send it to apple and have them put 2GB RAM in it and a Firewire 800 port!

Nope. Determine your budget, fill your machine with RAM (this will boost performance in OS X big time) then spend whatever is left on the CPU upgrade. I saw OWC just released a 1ghz upgrade yesterday, here is the link:

Maybe their dual 1ghz upgrade is priced right as well.

I believe powerbook G4s max out at 1gig of RAM. I own one and intend to uprade to that in the coming weeks.

As for the processor upgrades, I don't know and I haven't been able to find anything on that. Does anyone else know? I'd love to upgrade my processor.
