Wavelab Crossgrade Offer for Peak Users

Post by thighpilot » 02 Sep 2012, 11:25

50% off Wavelab 7 for Bias Peak users until October 31, 2012. I bought early so I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the offer.

I've had some issues with Wavelab 7. Issues working with external hardware, periodic crashes, and plugin compatibility issues. All in all though I've been making it work. It's the main tool I have been using now for mastering. I'm hoping that future updates will solve some of these issues.

Thanks, good to know. I'm currently waiting and watching to see how the new Audiofile Engineering editor is as well as how Sound Forge looks once it's released for Mac before I decide what will replace Peak for me permanently. I'll have to consider Wavelab as well.

I think the biggest deciding factor for me and Wavelab 7 was the ability to integrate external analog hardware in my mastering process. It's an absolute must for me. Even though I found a bug in WL7 on day 1 with the bypass button. It appeared to me that Wave Editor didn't have external hardware support, not sure yet if Triumph will. Also it doesn't appear that Sound Forge for Mac has external hardware support either (I could certainly be wrong). If you don't require external hardware integration then game on. Unfortunately for me I'm stuck with a buggy Wavelab 7 until there are updates that fix the issues or another viable alternative comes along.
