Breakfast Quay is announcing its new Rubber Band Audio Processor, which is a nice straightforward audio time-stretching and pitch-shifting application, written using the respected Rubber Band library from Breakfast Quay.
This small commercial standalone application (£20 UK, and there’s a very functional free demo version) offers tempo estimation, adjustment by BPM, and tap tempo — useful for loop editing and management. It can handle both very
fine and very extreme stretches, as well as pitch shifting by mere cents or multiple octaves. Available for Mac OS/X 10.4+, on Intel only at present.
