Soundlib Software has released Samplit 2, a completely new version of their automated sampling app. Samplit can record your virtual instruments, MIDI instruments and real instruments automatically and create ready-to-use libraries for your sampler software, including Native Instrument Kontakt, Apple EXS24, Reason NN-XT, and SoundFont. New to version 2 is the eight track audio mixer, allowing you to build up sounds from multiple layers of virtual or real instruments. A reverse mode quickly swaps the direction of your samples. Lastly, Samplit 2 is a 64-bit app, compatible with 64-bit plug-ins (it can also be launched in 32-bit mode). Samplit 2 is available now for $139. Upgrade from Samplit 1.3 for $29. Requires OS X 10.6.8 or later.
