FXpansion has announced the release of Strobe2 this morning. Strobe2 is an analog-modeled software polysynth that boasts programming simplicity. Alongside enhancements to the original’s analog-modeled synthesis engine and intuitive TransMod modulation system, highlights include new effects modules with custom chaining, an improved arpeggiator that can be used as a TransMod source, preset morphing, randomizing, over 900 presets (including many from the excellent Aiyn Zahev Sounds), and a scalable vector interface compatible with retina and 4K displays. Strobe2 is available now as a download-only product from the FXpansion web shop and authorized retailers for $179. An upgrade for registered FXpansion DCAM Synth Squad customers is $79. It requires OS X 10.8.5 or later and an AU, VST, RTAS, or AAX plug-in host.
