MethodRed has released MIDIPlayer X v2.0, an update to their popular MIDI file player for the Mac. The new version adds a host of features, including the ability to rewind, fast forward, and jump to any timeline location, mute and solo channels, tempo control, a bar and beat counter for more precise time reference, loading of multiple files and folders via drag & drop, and saving customized MIDI files. As always, MIDIPlayer X plays any standard MIDI file, working with your own MIDI hardware and software, or with the built-in General MIDI (GM) compatible sample player. MIDIPlayer X v2.0 is available now for $1.99 in the Mac App Store. Upgrades are free. It requires OS X 10.9 or later.
