NAMM 2016 – Celemony has released version 4 of Melodyne, its nearly-magical pitch and time editing audio software. Melodyne 4 Studio highlights include the Sound Editor with its totally new sound design possibilities, DNA Direct Note Access on an unlimited number of tracks, a new “Universal” algorithm for time-stretching entire mixes, ultra-accurate tempo detection, and multi-track macros. Melodyne 4 Editor, Melodyne 4 Assistant, and Melodyne 4 Essential have also been enhanced.
Melodyne 4 Studio is available now for $849. Melodyne 4 Editor, which drops Sound Editor and only works on single tracks, is $499. Melodyne 4 Assistant, which lacks DNA Direct Note Access and tempo/scale editing, is $249. Melodyne 4 Essential, for basic editing of pitch and timing, is $99. All editions require OS X 10.6.8 or later and a VST, AU, AAX, RTAS, ARA, or Rewire (client) compatible host. If you registered Melodyne after 1 November 2015, your update is free. Otherwise, updates start at $149.
From January 21-24 Celemony will be at the NAMM Show in Hall A, booths 6331 & 6242 and on Level 2, in Room 201 CD.
