Apogee this morning announced availability of their Symphony I/O Mk II HD audio interface, designed for Pro Tools HD systems. Symphony I/O Mk II is a multi-channel Thunderbolt and Avid HD Digilink interface featuring some of the best multi-channel AD/DA conversion of any Pro Tools HD audio interface, up to 32 channels of modular analog I/O with optional 8 mic preamps, compatibility with original Symphony I/O modules, an intuitive touchscreen display and front panel control, all in a gorgeous device that was designed here in California and built in the U.S.A.
The Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II HD is now shipping worldwide. Pricing starts at $2495 for the 2 x 6 configuration, topping out at $4690 for the 8 x 8 + 8MP configuration. It requires OS X 10.9.5 when connecting via Thunderbolt, or any Mac that can run Pro Tools HD 9 when using the HD Option Card. Waves SoundGrid System support is due this Fall.
