iZotope has released VocalSynth, a vocoding and harmonizing plugin that seeks to reproduce the iconic vocal sounds from decades past and create wild, new vocal sounds at the same time. VocalSynth features four re-synthesis engines–Vocoder, Talkbox, Polyvox, and Compuvox–along with expressive vocal effects in a friendly UI. The plugin also does real time pitch correction to build a solid starting point for processing, or you know, to go full Kanye.
VocalSynth is available now for $199, with a special intro price of $149 through June 16. It requires OS X 10.8 or later and an AU, VST, AAX, RTAS, or AudioSuite plugin host.
