Slate Digital has released Virtual Tube Collection (VTC), a set of three plugins for Virtual Mix Rack that recreate the sound of classic vintage tube circuits. While the London, New York, and Hollywood plugins seem to emulate some vintage European, RCA, and Universal Audio gear respectively, Slate says these are hybrids, so there are no 1:1 recreations here. Each module can act as a preamp, a saturator, and even a virtual tube summing console. VTC is intended to add color, warmth, depth, and vibe to your mixes and masters. VMS users can also use VTC preamps with the microphone models for rich and tube-o-rific tone on their tracks.

The Slate Digital Virtual Tube Collection is available now for $179, or as part of the Slate Everything Bundle subscription plan for as little as $14.99 per month. It requires macOS 10.7 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host.
