u-he has released Colour Copy, a virtual analog delay plugin based on classic bucket-brigade hardware and extended with modern features. Colour Copy started life as Lyrebird, the delay unit built into Repro-1. Apparently, Lyrebird sounded so good that they decided to develop it into a full-blown effect unit. Colour Copy features freely adjustable taps, morph-able “colour” circuit macros, ducking, dynamic modulation, and more. The name comes from the kind of colouration people still love in classic bbd units, but with a wider variety of colors.
u-he Colour Copy is available now for €69 (around $81). It requires macOS 10.7 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host. Colour Copy supports the Native Instruments NKS format and is compatible with Maschine and Komplete Kontrol hardware.
