LiquidSonics has released Lustrous Plates, a plugin that recreates the beautiful tone of seven classic plate reverbs using their new Temporal Acoustic Spectral Mapping (TASM) technology. TASM uses a proprietary multi-band dynamic capture and analysis method that allows unprecedented frequency specific profiling of each plate’s natural decay. This is then mapped into an advanced reverb synthesis algorithm. This not only reproduces the unique decay of real hardware plates, it allows fine tuning of classic algorithmic reverb parameters in ways you’ve never been able to do with any other plate emulation, including precise control of frequency dispersion, width, and modulation.
LiquidSonics Lustrous Plates is available now for $199, with an intro price of $149 until April 21, from the LiquidSonics store. It is also part of the Slate Digital Everything Bundle for $14.99 per month. Owners of certain LiquidSonics products can get extra discounts applied to the launch price. Lustrous Plates requires macOS 10.9 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host.
