Fuse Audio Labs has released VPRE-2C, an authentic recreation of an early 1950s RCA BA-2C booster amplifier, adding carefully tuned features in the digital domain. The VPRE-2C is a very simple, yet effective and versatile processor requiring only a few mouse clicks to introduce some serious vintage vibe to your signals. Fuse Audio Labs has re-created the original circuit using a set of NOS tubes and modern transformers. While the original amplifier is more of an insider tip these days, its basic tube circuit design inspired countless broadcast and recording consoles during the late 50s and early 60s. The VPRE-2C is designed to take you back in time, giving you that wonderful vintage sound by simply turning it on and dialing in the amount you want.
Fuse Audio Labs VPRE-2C is available now for $49, with an intro price of $24.50 until March 7. It requires macOS 10.9 or later and a 64-bit AU, VST, or AAX plugin host.
