Klevgränd Production has unveiled Ting, a percussion instrument plugin providing 12 different sounds originating from everyday t(h)ings laying around the home, such as silverware, a sofa, a toy drum, or a pair of car keys. Each sound is carefully multi-sampled and processed to be musically playable. Instead of emula(ting) yet another x0x drum machine, Ting is intended to be a creative tool and a substitute for the ordinary. Altogether, around 500 individual samples were used to make this instrument. In addition to the great sounds, Ting includes an EQ, a room simulator, a reverb, and a compressor.
Klevgränd Ting is available now for $19.99, with an intro price of $14.99 until April 28. It requires macOS 10.9 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host. Of course, this is Klevgränd, so it’s also available as an AUv3 plugin (the featured image up top) for $7.99, with an intro price of $4.99. This version requires iOS 9.1 or later and an iPad Air 2 or better.
