Black Rooster Audio today released a new plugin that they’ve been working on for months, the RO-140 Vintage Plate Reverb. The RO-140, their first ever reverb, was faithfully modeled after its legendary hardware counterparts, while still remaining a Black Rooster Audio original at its core. This is not a collection of impulse responses for simple convolution. This versatile plate reverb plugin allows you to take your productions to the next level by uncovering a new level of detailed audio customization. Not only does it capture the sound of sought-after hardware classics such as the EMT 140, but it also allows you to create your own sound, with a virtually infinite amount of combinations between plate materials and plate sizes, dampening and pre-delay controls.
The Black Rooster Audio RO-140 Vintage Plate Reverb is available now for $69. Current Black Rooster Audio customers, check your email for a possible discount. The plugin requires macOS 10.9 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host. There’s no word on Apple Silicon compatibility with Black Rooster plugins at the moment.
