
It’s that time of year again! This post is for compatibility news related to macOS Sonoma (macOS 14), which was released today. This year, we’re switching things up and moving this here to the news page. If you have your own updates, please comment below.
We will continually update this post, linking directly to developer compatibility statements where possible. Where macOS Sonoma compatibility is unknown, we’ll simply provide a link to the most likely source of updates and try to circle back later.

macOS Sonoma (14) is Apple’s upcoming OS release scheduled for Tuesday, September 26th. Cherry Audio has been testing all products in the beta versions of Sonoma, and no issues have arisen. If you’re in the middle of projects, however, we recommend that you hold off on upgrading to Sonoma until we have completed our compatibility checks next week with the final release.

Initial tests have shown that some of our programs are not displayed correctly under macOS Sonoma. The graphical problems can lead to inoperability. The latest UAD software is currently being tested for compatibility with macOS Sonoma. Universal Audio will announce full compatibility in a future update. Some macOS Sonoma users may experience a display issue when opening UAD plug-ins in Apollo’s Console app [display may be blank, close and re-open to workaround until an update]. Apollo models connected via Thunderbolt are compatible. Apollo models with Thunderbolt Option Card are compatible.

True, macOS Sonoma will be available to the public on September 26. The article doesn’t state otherwise. We always begin this guide around this time of year, as soon as developers start making their own announcements about compatibility. It will be updated well beyond the release date as well.
