JP Nebres is a special events writer for macOS Audio, where he covers recording hardware and software news on the Mac. He has worked for two Grammy-award winning companies, Apple Inc. and Digidesign (now Avid, creators of the industry-standard Pro Tools). At Apple, he worked in the Multimedia group pushing next-generation Macs to the limit. At Digidesign, he worked alongside with Rocket Networks to usher in the first version of Pro Tools that allowed musical collaboration via the internet. JP has also been in the music business for many years, working with major artists including Roger Troutman (Zapp), Mr. Mixx (2 Live Crew), and Digital Underground, as well as co-founding his own record label.
