Matt Villacarte is in charge of digital media production for macOS Audio. A club and mobile disc jockey since the age of 12, he first broke into the music industry in 1993 as a mix show DJ for San Francisco radio station KMEL. After earning a B.A. in Mass Communication from California State University Hayward, Matt acted as Radio Promotion Manager for Classified Records, Senior Director of Promotion for Straight Hits Entertainment, and finally, San Francisco representative for New York based Promo Only Promotions, working national radio projects that included Janet Jackson, Nelly Furtado, and Bob Marley. Never far from Silicon Valley, he then slid over to a sales position at Google and channel liaison at YouTube. Last we heard, he may be involved in Google X Projects, but you didn’t hear that here. Matt’s experience across the board is a great asset to us here at macOS Audio.
