Re: Izotope Critical Mac Patch

To be fair safari warns you every time you open something you downloaded from the web. Nah, not that warning, it says "There may be a problem with this disk image, opening this disk image may make your computer less secure or cause other problems". I don't see that anywhere else. Compare: http://do...

Re: Izotope Critical Mac Patch

This is really scrappily done. Dodgy email with third party tracking. Security warnings if I download the patch with Safari. (Firefox works ok.) The email says all the installers are updated but on the web they are all still dated 2009. The hand-fix simply changes permissions on a kernel extension. ...

Re: Logic Pro 9.1 released

Ok, so far so ok in 64-bit mode (32-bit mode looks fine). On my latest project this is what happens when I open in 64-bit

Alchemy works
Kontakt 4 works
DCAM Synth Squad looking good
Alloy works
Melodyne looking good
BFD2 isn't available

It launches the 32-bit audio bridge as a separate app

Re: Logic 9.0.2 crashes once again- crashlog help?

In the stack trace, __CFRunLoopRun is called and that in turn triggers some periodic thing registered as a run loop handler. It could be anything, UI, plugin, framework such as ReWire. As there's no symbolic info about the next line that crashes it's hard to know exactly which piece of code that in...

Re: Logic 9.0.2 crashes once again- crashlog help?

It crashed trying to fetch code from somewhere it wasn't allowed to, probably a bad pointer.

Re: Logic 9.0.2 crashes once again- crashlog help?

Kent is right in saying there is no evidence that a plug-in isn't the underlying culprit but it's clearly the main logic app itself that does something naughty. There are a few HIToolbox calls in the trace hierarchy which may indicate that there's a problem in the GUI. Anyone know if level 5 in the ...
