Re: Mixing down at 88.2kHz?

Also know that if your source audio is already recorded at 44.1k changing it to 88.2k doesn't give you more fidelity to the already recorded tracks. It just gives more fidelity to whatever processing you are adding onto the original recording.

Didn't NI make B4 as a Kontakt Library? So if you buy this Kontakt library you can get B4 back…

Sibelius 7?

Anyone compare it to 6 yet? Is it worth the switch? The library is interesting. But not sure that alone is worth the upgrade.

Re: how do i capture audio from iphone to mac

generally most audio apps have share features. But if you want to do it analogue you can take a 1/8" cable form your iPhone headphones jack into the 1/8" Line in Jack (the one next to the headphones jack) on your mac.

Re: what do you use to sample and edit samples?

They might have. I'm still using the old one. I always got it with the new version of Logic. If it doesn't I'll probably switch to WaveEditor.

Re: what do you use to sample and edit samples?

I actually use Soundtrack Pro as my stereo editor and then Kontakt to create the sample file since that is my sampler of choice. But I'm not doing anything sophisticated I'm taking some found sounds I recored with a MOTU Ultralite MK2 and an SM58, like coins dropping and putting them into Kontakt an...

Re: IAC bus latency increase

Thanks for the kinds words about my stuff. Its actually a little outdated. I've improved much since those pieces. I do not have enough experience with sound flower to help you further. However I do know that Rewire is built for low latency communication between DAWs where as sound flower is more abo...

Re: IAC bus latency increase

Why are you avoiding rewire? My sense is that your RAM is simply too little to run both Live and Logic at the same time and route audio and play live. Though that is probably the biggest bottle neck there are others which you could run into like the speed of your hard drive and the speed of your fro...

Re: Reaper Mac... Hmmm

I tried Reaper as a comparison to Logic, and there's no comparison as to the UI ; I have NO idea how people get around Reaper. It is SO cluttered with info-overload. I can't imagine working in such a bizarre setup. Now that is interesting. I'm curious, what was your first version of Logic? Because ...

That being said about PT my version of the most recent Sibelius works fine, as expected. Tested with General MIDI enhanced.

Re: Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility

My MOTU Ultralite (I think v2 of the hardware if not v1) works fine with Lion 10.7 the fact that almost all of PT can't handle it is one of the major reasons I switched from that dead end a long time ago.

Re: Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility

Audio Ease Plugins Altaverb and Speakerphone crash the AUveval in Logic, but you can force them to open if you go to Logic's AU manager check the box next to them. The evaluator will still crash but they will stay enabled and are found under incompatible>Audio Ease>Plugin name. Then they work as exp...

Everything Funky has already said I agree with. I use it in almost all my mixes. Its a great plug.
