Desperately seeking UK host

Post by markoos » 24 May 2010, 05:09

Have had huge problems with fasthosts so moved to godaddy last week, which has turned out to be a big mistake. I'm looking for an honest, reliable UK based domain host who can supply me with a basic email package (I don't have a website).

Does anyone have any suggestions please? I want to transfer out of godaddy ASAP.

If you aren't anti-Google, their free Google Apps "Standard" package will get you 50 free full Gmail accounts on any custom domain. Each gets the normal 7GB of storage, their great spam filters, web/POP/IMAP access, etc.

I usually set new clients up with this, even if they have decent web hosting (which is not necessarily decent email hosting), for the better features and to keep email storage from creeping in on web storage.

I've used UK2 for many years for domains and to host my companies' website and they seem to be OK. THey have email only packages too. Not sure if it's the sort of thing you want, but here's their website:
