I'd like to listen to stereo music on my two pairs of monitors simultaneously, using applications like VLC, quicktime, itunes etc.
I've got a multi out audio interface (MOTU 896HD).
I've seen suggestions for creating aggregate devices. Problem with this is that it aggregates two or more devices - but I want to aggregate/mirror the various outputs on one individual device (MOTU).
Presently I've installed COG player, Jack osx, routed that through to LOGIC and then routed again to the two pairs of monitors. Very long winded.
Isn't there a simpler way of doing this? All help and suggestions would be really appreciated.
System:
osx 10.6.8

Re: Mirror main outs
Could you use the 896HD's internal CueMix FX busses to do this?
Mac mini (M1) . UA Apollo x6 + Quad . macOS Big Sur . Logic Pro . TwistedWave . FCP . PS CC . Affinity Suite . Get Info
Re: Mirror main outs
Hey thanks for the reply. Well it seems CueMix only controls mixing/routing of inputs. Anyway with your suggestion in mind; I've plugged the DIGITAL out into the DIGITAL IN. Cue mix now picks this input up and I've routed them to my two speakers! Voila.
Not the ideal solution but alot better than routing through jack osx and logic!
Thanks for the suggestion.
