WD (Western Digital)
There are reports of Western Digital and other external HDD products experiencing data loss when updating to Apple's OS X Mavericks (10.9).
WD has just released an uninstaller for their WD SmartWare and WD Drive Manager software.

Updated! Via email...
An update is available for Melodyne editor. Version 2.1.2 offers the following improvements:
  • Compatibility with Mavericks. Melodyne now also runs reliably under Apple’s OS X 10.9.
  • Accelerated workflow. Version 2.1.2 processes large files altogether more rapidly.
  • Improved functionality in all DAWs. Above all in the ARA hosts Sonar and Studio One.
The update is free of charge. You can obtain it through the “Check for Updates” function in Melodyne’s Preferences dialog.

Please note: Melodyne studio is currently not compatible with Mavericks and either fails to launch or crashes after a certain time. We are confident of finding a solution to the problem in the coming days and will let you know by e-mail as soon as we have done so.

Propellerhead Software
Mac OS X Mavericks compatibility update!

Our testing of Mac OS X Mavericks has not revealed any problems with Reason version 6 or later. Users of Reason 6, 6.5 or 7 can safely upgrade to Mavericks - but please make sure that all your hardware (audio interfaces, controllers etc) is compatible first! Check the manufacturer’s websites for details.

As for older versions: Although we have been able to run Reason 4 and Reason 5 under Mavericks, we have seen several reports of users having problems. Therefore, we cannot recommend users of Reason 5 or earlier versions to upgrade to Mavericks.

ReCycle and Mac OS X Mavericks

Our testing of Mac OS X Mavericks has not revealed any problems with ReCycle 2.2.

Native Instruments
Native Instruments has conducted compatibility tests with Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks which have shown current NI software products to work without any specific issues under standard installations of this operating system. However, an issue has been found involving NI non class-compliant audio interfaces (eg. Audio 4, Audio 8, S4 MK1, Audio Kontrol 1): If such an NI audio interface is connected to a computer waking up from Sleep mode, the device will invariably produce chopped and distorted audio on both Input and Output connections or no audio at all. To resolve the issue please disconnect and reconnect the device to your computer or change a setting of the audio interface - e.g. switching the samplerate. Native Instruments is currently conducting further systematic compatibility and performance tests with the release version of Mavericks, and will provide new information on this page as it becomes available.
