Stereo to quad channel mult

I would like to map the stereo outputs of any audio player (say iTunes) simultaneously to channels 1/2 and 3/4. That is, the left channel of the stereo mix should be sent to both channels 1 and 3 while the right one to channels 2 and 4. I will then use the quad mix to feed the multichannel Dirac Live room correction software, which in turn will feed an outboard multichannel DAC into a 2.2 monitoring setup. Do I need any special software such as Soundflower to do this?
